Counter-top review system · Melbourne

Happy customers post to Google.
Unhappy ones talk to you first.

Tapback is a small stand for your counter. Customers tap their phone or scan, rate their visit — five-star moments go straight into Google's review form, and problems come privately to you before they become one-star reviews.

The stand

Sits beside the EFTPOS terminal — QR code and NFC tap in one. Stands are included in every plan, installed by us, and replaced free if one walks off.

How it works

On your counter this week.
Working the same day.

01

We set it up

We come to you, put the stand on your counter, and link it to your Google listing. Ten minutes, nothing for you to install or configure.

02

Customers tap

Any phone, no app — NFC tap or QR scan, then a star rating. A 4–5 star rating deep-links straight into Google's write-a-review form, one tap from posting.

03

You see everything

A live dashboard shows taps, ratings, and your Google rating trend — plus a private inbox where 1–3 star customers explain what went wrong.

The Google review option stays visible to every customer at every rating — nothing is hidden or delayed, which keeps the flow inside Google's review policy. More in the FAQ.

Why Tapback

Not another $30 tap card.

Those cards do one thing: forward every customer to Google — including the furious one. And because the link is printed, it can never do anything else.

A $30 NFC card

  • Sends everyone to Google — including your angriest customer
  • A printed link, fixed forever — it can never learn a new trick
  • No numbers: you never know if it's working
  • Reviews sit unanswered; rivals go unwatched
  • Shipped from overseas, no one to call

Tapback

  • Routes 1–3 star customers to a private form you see first — the Google link always stays available
  • Routes through our servers, so your stand keeps getting smarter without reprinting
  • Drafts replies to your Google reviews in your voice, and warns you the day a rival's rating passes yours
  • Dashboard plus a monthly report — proof it's working, in writing
  • Installed and serviced in person by Melbourne locals

Every month, in writing

You'll never wonder if it's working.

Every month you get a plain-English report: how many people tapped, what they rated, how your public Google rating moved, and how many complaints were caught privately before they went public. If the numbers ever stop earning the fee, you can see that too — that's the point.

We also track your stand's health — if it goes quiet because it fell behind the till, we notice and call you before a week of reviews is lost.

FAQ

Fair questions.

Is this allowed under Google's rules?

Yes — and the design is what makes it so. Google prohibits "review gating": showing the review link only to happy customers. Tapback never does that. The Google review option is visible to every customer at every step, whatever they rate. What we add is an extra private channel for unhappy customers — most take it, because being heard by the owner beats venting to strangers.

Do my customers need an app?

No. The stand carries an NFC tag and a QR code — tap or scan with any modern phone and the rating page opens in the browser. Nothing to download, nothing to sign into.

What do I have to do day-to-day?

Nothing at the counter — the stand does the asking. When private feedback arrives you'll want to read it (that's the product catching a problem for you), and once a month your report lands in your inbox.

What does setup involve?

We come to your shop, place the stands, and link them to your Google Business listing. About ten minutes, done by us, and it works before we leave. No POS integration required for the Counter plan.

What happens if I cancel?

Month-to-month with 30 days' notice — no lock-in contract. We collect the stands, and every Google review you earned stays up forever. The reviews belong to your business, not to us.

I already have one of those tap-to-review cards.

Then you've seen the limitation: it sends everyone to Google, including the customer you just had a bad day with, and gives you no numbers. Tapback routes unhappy customers to you first, keeps the public option open, and shows you proof it's working every month. Bring the card up when we visit — the side-by-side takes two minutes.
